Fort Minor

I have been recently taken over by the orchestra infused rap songs by Fort Minor. I was sitting here listening to one of my more favorite songs called cigarettes and singing along with the choir in the backround when it hit me. I wonder why he chose the name Fort Minor. Is it a play on the fact that most of the songs have minor chords in them? Is it some event or person that influenced this decision? I definately like the fact that he has real music included with his rapping. I like rap, but it seems to be only the rap songs with orchestra or choral music behind them that adds demension to the fact that its only a person talking in rhythm. I have turned away from the "usual" rap songs about women's asses and clubbin' and turned to the more personal and real life influenced lyrics with more musical depth. I have also been liking rock and classic rock more than anything else. Funny how musical tastes and preferances can change. I have only extended my musical likes to yet more types.
