Even after all the anti-Muslim thoughts and feelings, ultimately we should be thankful for the middle east. My reasoning is purely from a musicians stand point. If it were not for the middle east and their instruments and musical influence, western music would not be as we know it. Many instruments like the violin, lute, come directly from the Middle East. Also, most of our other instruments can be traced back to the middle east. The middle east not only influenced all of Europe but all African music. I guess you can say that we all should be grateful that each culture exists. This does not mean you have to agree with everything being said but I just thought it was interesting that we owe all our musical instruments and influences from the Middle East.
